Learned While Soaking

Whenever we feel dry, we can come to Jesus and drink.  Often, the drink of living water He gives us will flow from a deep place within us.  Because it comes from somewhere deep inside, we can easily forget that it isn’t coming from us; instead, it’s a flow of the Holy Spirit.

Recently I was thirsty, so I spent time soaking in His presence.  I quieted my heart, focused on Jesus, and then wrote in a steno pad the flow of words that came.

When the flow comes, we can speak it, sing it, or write it down.  But when we really encounter a flow of the haoly aspirit, we may learn from what we hear, because He knows things we don’t.

To keep this article short, I’ll include only the lines that taught me something or that opened my eyes to new ideas.  Here re the highlights of what I heard, listed as four separate items.

Item One The Apostolic Outpouring

For years, the flow you’ve expected has been a flow of words because you had noticed the prophetic tenor of the outpouring of My Spirit, as noted in Acts 2.  But I’m starting to unveil the apostolic side of the outpouring of My Spirit:  (1) that My followers would have firsthand encounters with Me, and (2) would tell about them.  To be true witnesses , they must (1) see My works firsthand, and (2) tell about them.

Item Two The Flow Of Not Just Words, But Also Power

But I expect to give a flow not just in word, but in power.  As you quiet your heart and focus on Me, the aspect of Me that you choose for your focus will determine the nature of the flow.  I’m teaching you when and how to focus, so you’ll catch a flow of power, and not just words.

Item Three – Fill Your Belly

But as I said in John, it comes not just off the top of your head, but from deeper down – from your belly.  Search out these things, for I will teach you to fill your belly with the vision of Me that will release My power and presence like rivers of living water.

Marvel not that I often told prophets of old to eat the scroll and to fill their belly with it.

I’m giving you keys that you’ve sought for many years.

Item Four – Firsthand Encounters

A true witness cannot report hearsay.  A true witness must tell what he or she has seen or heard firsthand.  So I immerse you in My Spirit of Truth – into firsthand encounters with Me.  For I am the Truth:  I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Final Comments

I’m not an apostle; but for the last few months, God has been challenging me that He wants to work an apostolic flavor into the whole church , so we will become  the heaven-sent people He has designed us to be.
